Our AURN Executive Board

The AURN Executive Board is elected by the AURN membership to represent you in the workplace.  Each position's tenure is two years and a vote for staggered elections is held each spring. Every AURN nurse is encouraged to run for these officer positions. 

Your current officers are:

President: Harold Fleshman  

                  Has been an RN for 25 years. 15 years at OHSU. Has worked on 4A Transplant. Married with 4 children, 2 stepchildren. Intrests are travel, fishing, and the outdoors. Goals for the union are to keep a strong staff, a nursing voice, fairness, and maintain professional standards of nursing.

 

Vice-President: Susanna Rhodes

                   Has been an RN for over 32 years. 31 + years at OHSU. Works in DNCC. Married 26 years and has 2 children and 1 grandchild. Intrests are reading trashy romance novels, sewing, crafts.  Goals for the union are to make sure that the rights of nurses are protectedin the workplace and to make OHSU a great place to work.

 

Treasurer / PNCC Chair: Louise Darling

                   Has been an RN for 25 years. 12 years at OHSU. Has worked in float pool = pediatrics, DNCC, MBU, 10N, 10S, 9N, 9S. Married with 3 children, 3 grandchildren. Interests are traveling, reading, cooking, walking. Goals for the union are to bring OHSU and ONA goals to be shared and supported toward strengthening the professional nursing experience.

 

Secretary: Tricia Shoun

                      Has been an RN for 15 years.  11 years at OHSU.  She currently works in DCH PICU and has also worked in Adult Med/Surg Float Pool and the Adult ICU Float Pool.  Married with 2 sons.  Interests are reading, baking and crafts.  Goals for the union are to empower nurses to speak up and stand up for themselves in a meaningful manner and to encourage a nursing culture at OHSU that fosters a teamwork approach with nursing and management to improve work environments and patient care.
